Nestled among textile stores, fruit markets, and the flashy range of Chinese restaurants in the hustle and bustle of Spadina’s Chinatown is the Kim Hoa Seafood Restaurant. At the entrance one is greeted by whole ducks and pigs, strung from the ceiling behind the window. White plastic tablecloths adorn the tables in the dining room, and abstract images of Asian calligraphy are hung on the walls. Although it may seem like the standard Chinatown restaurant, Kim Hoa offers an extensive and diverse menu of over 250 items.
